X-ray is a form of medical imaging that gives doctors and radiologists a peak at what's going on inside our bodies-without actually going in there. X-rays help diagnose broken bones, tumors, diseases like pneumonia, and more. Taken by trained x-ray technicians in hospitals and doctor's offices, x-rays are used by physician assistants, radiologists, and doctors to evaluate the health of the patient.

New Britain is home to LincolnTechnicalInstitute's main campus. Housed in three separate buildingsin the New Britain Industrial Park, Lincoln Tech's maincampus is filled with automotive labs and shops, HVAC labs andshops, clinical nursing facilities, hospital labs, medicalassisting labs and examining rooms, residential, commercial andindustrial electrical labs and shops, computer labs, digitalelectronics and telecommunications labs, classrooms, and studentlounges. Lincoln Tech's New Britain campus is locatedright off the Berlin Turnpike, is a convenient drive fromInterstates 91 & 84 and Routes 15 & 72 and attracts mostof its students from Hartford, Middlesex and Tolland Counties.
Lincoln Technical Institute - Shelton
Lincoln Technical Institute's newest campus islocated in Shelton, Connecticut. Occupying 30,000 square feet inan upscale office park, the Shelton campus attracts most of itsstudents from towns like Fairfield, Waterbury, Bridgeport,Milford, Danbury, Stamford and the Naugatuck Valley. The Sheltoncampus is like three school campuses in one. One side of thebuilding houses the professional kitchens, dining facilities andclassrooms of the Center for Culinary Arts while another part ofthe building is dedicated to the hospital labs and classrooms forthe Licensed Practical Nursing students, and the third part of thecampus focuses on residential, commercial and industrial labs andclassrooms for Electrical students. The common student areas, suchas a library, computer lab and student lounge, make the Sheltoncampus a comfortable place to learn.
